Winners 'NtombAce' on their plans for the future

Big Brother winners Ntombifuthi Tshabalala and Nkanyiso Khumalo share what they’ll be doing now that they’ve won the R2 million

Big Brother Mzansi: Double Trouble victors Ntombifuthi Tshabalala and Nkanyiso Khumalo are still in shock after last night’s announcement that they are the Season Two winners.

The couple, who have been dating for five years, walked away with R2 million in prizes after spending 56 days in the Big Brother house.

“I still don’t believe that we won. We’re truly grateful to our fans who voted for us,” Ntombi and Nkanyiso told DESTINY.

It’s been a long hard journey for the unemployed couple, who were motivated to become part of the reality show to improve their standard of living for their three-year-old son’s sake. Even so, being away from him for so long was tough.

“Our biggest inspiration was our son and, we always wanted to be in the entertainment industry. We also just wanted to see how the industry and the people would receive us and now we know,” says Nkanyiso, also known as Ace to his fans.

The pair has no solid plans for their R2 million yet, but they do know they’d like to use some of the funds to further their education.

“We want to take things easy and really think about what we are going to do with the money. We would like to educate ourselves more. We also want to sit down with our families so that we can have a proper plan on how we are going to spend the money,” says Nkanyiso.

Both are aspiring musicians and Nkanyiso says they want to pursue their passion for music, and explore acting if any opportunities present themselves.

The Soweto-born couple is determined to make sure their winnings last and are put to good use.

“We know that our families and friends have our best interests at heart, but we would also like to get sound advice from a financial expert.

Ntombi and Ace’s authenticity and calm temperaments won the hearts of millions of viewers and made them stand out from the other contestants, and they’re grateful for the support they received.

“We would like to thank South Africans for voting for us; we are so proud to be in this country. We are so happy and we don’t know how to express our gratitude. If only you understood how happy we are and how happy our families are for what you have done for us,” they conclude.
