Former Big Brother Mzansi housemate, Lexi Van Niekerk decided to give reality TV another chance when she recently attended the Joburg auditions for the "Tropika island of treasure competition".
The Cape Town born reality TV star stood in the long queue alongside other competitions hopefuls at the Gold Reef city theme park.

The competition had offered fans a chance to enter to be part of the show and get partnered with their favourite celebrities.
Seven of South Africa’s hottest celebrities have been selected, they include: Siv Ngesi, Zakeeya Patel, Maurice Paige, Karlien van Jaarsveld, EmTee, Anga Makubalo and Jessica Nkosi.
The show will be hosted by Minnie Dlamini and the Games Master Jonathan Boynton-Lee.
Seven of the celebrities will each be paired with a fan to form seven teams to participate in the competition on the tropical island of the Seychelles. The contestants will be pushed to their limits and test their newly formed relationships as each team strives to outdo one another and win the R1 million grand prize.
Brand Group Manager for Tropika Miantha Padayachee said this year the season is so different as it has some of the most diversity celebrity contestants an they get to pick their own consumer contestant that they would want to be paired with.
Lexi van Niekerk however did not make it into the competition after failing to produce all the documents required for entry.
