Big Brother Mzansi’s K2 Moving Places

Former Big Brother Mzansi 2 contestant K2 is steadily building a name for himself on the music scene.

The rap sensation, real name Katlego Mabusela, recently dropped a single featuring Bigstar Johnson (Tumelo Rakumako) who was crowned champion of hip hop reality show The Hustle.

The single, titled Das’ True and produced by Zooci Coke and AirDee, is just a taste of more to come.

“I want to be known as the hardest-working man in the music business. I want to end this year being an award-winning artist,” K2 says. He’s currently in studio cooking up an EP, which will be followed by a mixtape. He promises to release his debut album soon.

K2 has been writing his own music since a very young age. Inspired by the likes of Eminem, Jay Z and Lil Wayne, he says he also likes the transformation that Khuli Chana and AKA brought to the hip hop scene in Mzansi.

“I believe they played a big role in getting local hip hop to where it is right,” he says.

Last year, K2 dropped another single, Lepara, which helped him to share a stage with a lot of well-known artists in the country. He has performed at the Spring Fiesta, H20 and iRock festivals, and Maftown Heights, to name just a few.
