Former Big Brother contestant is bringing the house down...
Big Brother Mzansi’s first runner-up K2 is gearing up to serenade music fans at DStv iRock Limpopo Music Festival.
The rapper, whose hot single Lepara is dominating music charts across the country, said he was excited about the show.
“My song has received a lot of positive response and I am glad that it did,” he said.
He revealed to SunBuzz that the song was inspired by what he was called after the Big Brother competition.
“The fans of the show called me l epara, which is slang for ‘boss’ in Tshwane where I come from.
“When I was in studio recording my music, I decided this was good inspiration,” he said.
Since the show ended earlier this year, K2 has been getting a lot of bookings because of his popularity on the show.
K2 said he was working hard to get material for his upcoming album.
“I am working on the album and also on having a few collaborations. I have already recorded a song with American DJ and producer Harrison Crump, which I think will be my next single,” he said.
K2, who is currently dating fellow Big Brother Mzansi contestant Blue, said he was still enjoying his relationship and getting to know his girlfriend.
K2 will be joined on stage by Mafikizolo, Beatenberg, Khuli Chana, Black Motion, Riky Rick and Thandiswa Mazwai, to mention a few.
The iRock pre-party, featuring major league DJs at Meropa Casino promises to sizzle while the iRock Exclusive event with Fistaz Mixwell is set to heat up Meropa Gardens. Both these pre-parties happen on 25 September.
) The DStv iRock Limpopo Music Festival will be held at The Polokwane Rugby Fields on 26 September.
