Mzansi Magic’s Diski Diva star, Katlego Mohoaduba – also known as “Kat”, shared the honey and ginger wings recipe with Mzansi Life.

Cook: 1 hour
Ingredients:
1.5kg Chicken wings, halved at the joint
60ml (1/4 cup) honey/ syrup
45ml (3T) Worcestershire sauce
30ml (2T) finely grated ginger
30ml (2T) Olive Oil/ sun flower oil
15ml (1T) Hot Sauce Tobasco
Salt (season to taste)
45ml (3T) Tomato sauce
Foil
Fresh Parsley
Method
In a large bowl, mix together the honey, Worcestershire sauce finely grated ginger, Olive oil/ sunflower oil, hot Tobasco sauce, Tomatoe sauce and salt. Add the chicken wings and mix around to insure all the wings are coated in the marinate. Leave wings to marinate overnight in the fridge or leave to marinate for 4hours.
Heat the oven to 180C. Place foil on baking tray. Drain and reserve the marinate, then spread the wings out on to the baking tray. Bake for 30mins, then pour off the excess oil. Once excess oil has been drained add the reserved marinate and toss well. Increase oven to 200C and cook for further 30mins or until wings are glazed marinate & sticky. Serve on a platter dish with fresh parsley as garnish.
Kat was born on the 3rd June 1990 in Johannesburg. From an early age she participated in various pageants & automatically fell in love with the industry of entertainment.
Kat was crowned 2nd princess in the Miss Soweto pageant 2011. For a brief time she worked a 9-5 job at a bank later venturing into advertising. Determined to make her mark in entertainment she resigned from her job and was one of the housemates of the popular reality show Big Brother Mzansi S3 2014 where she became infamously known as Kat & was one of the finalists in the season finale.
Kat had a stint in radio co-hosting the drive time slot #The60 every weekday 3-6pm on Cliff Central an online radio station. She was recently nominated as one of the top 12 finalists for Mzansi’s Sexiest Celeb 2015.Kat was a reality TV star for a show called Diski Divas which aired on Mzansi Magic 12 April 2015 18:00 till July.
She has a passion for radio & television & is hoping to make her presence felt in this industry.
