LUNGILE Radu is a familiar face on TV screens thanks to his work on Rhythm City, and knows exactly where he wants to go.
Before his entry into the industry, Radu was reading towards becoming a lawyer.
Now he is an established brand, expanding rapidly throughout the entertainment world.
"I wanted to be a lawyer, but the entertainment bug bit me," he says.
"When I started in the entertainment industry I wanted to be where I am, if not further, but I knew I was going to get in."
He is one of the country's youngest entrepreneurs in the industry and is the face of Big Brother Mzansi, that returns to our screens on Sunday.
"I'm excited about the show. When I hosted it last year I was still new," he says.
"It's going to be bigger and better because the prize money is more so the stakes are higher."
And he has done exceedingly well. Radu has been nominated for a South African Film and Television Award for best presenter.
He is a co-owner of Parental Advisory Production (PAP), with Thomas Gumede and Siyabonga "Scoop" Ngwekazi.
PAP is behind popular Forever Young, MoLove season one and two, Gold Diggers season three with Benni McCarthy, Love Back and Mandla and Lexi, that has gone down well with viewers.
"It's awesome that people love it. It's obvious we were going to have a huge following because Mandla has a following from winning Big Brother while guys want to see Lexi. So it was obvious it was going to be a winner," he says confidently.
He says starting the company was about putting their own shows and content on screen.
"We wanted to have some ownership in this entertainment industry, and not just be used as talent. All three of us have experience in the industry. I've been in the business for more than 10 years.
"Reality TV is big, that's what people want to see. We've mastered it, so we'd like to get into other genres now."
