Its Saturday and we are sure of two things, the Saturday night Channel O Party Zone and the Housemates loosening up, leave their troubles with their curling tongs, and come on Mzansi, we always hope to see some action.The 48 Days of Big Brother Mzansi have so far given birthed two couples, Poloko and Mandlexi with the latter being the power couple though the Poloko are fairly new on the romance block and are less open with their pillow talk.
We thought we'd do a little digging to see what other Big Brother hook-ups there have been, and look what we found... scandalous!
Jay and Louise found love in the Big Brother house UK back in 2011, and seemed to have succeeded where their fellow reality show romances failed when they tied the knot in 2012. No happy endings here, the couple filed for divorce last year.
In the second Big Brother UK, viewers were transfixed as they watched Housemates Helen and Paul fall in love. Millions of viewers were gripped as the romance unfolded on national television in 2001. After the show they set up home together in London, they lived in co-habiting bliss for five years, not a bad innings. Alas all good things come to an end and the couple split in 2006.
We have saved the happy, Cinderella story for last. Remember Big Brother Africa, The Chase? Zimbabwe's Pokello finally gave in to the charms of Ghana's Elikem. The couple are still dating and are very much in love. See, it does work out sometimes.
