In the afternoon, Jase, Mandla, Lola and Kat were summoned to the Diary Room to chop it up with Biggie one last time before this week’s Eviction results are revealed. Mandla was as honest as they come. He went for the jugular and revealed how the women in the House have become trigger-happy of late, following the introduction of Nominations, last week. “People are going to get violent. The mood in the House has become very strange,” he said, referring to an incident last night where Lexi broke a Strike. He also complained about Thando and how irritating her pranks are. “I have told her a countless number of times that I don’t like it, but she doesn’t listen,” he said. Besides the passion they have for each other, it is evident that MandLex shares a mutual dislike of Thando. Luckily, Mandla is safe from the Evictions chop this week, after he was saved by last week's HoH, Sol. In his place, Sol put up Thando.
Lola was also very candid in her Diary Session. She revealed how taking sides and gossip put her in the precarious position she is in now. “Last week, there was lots of gossip going around and I took sides. I know I was Nominated because of all the drama,” she said. A couple of days ago, Lola, Jase and Thando received a Strike each, after breaking the Big Brother Mzansi ‘no collusion’ rule.
Kat, on the other hand, revealed how she saw her Nomination coming from a mile off. “I knew I was going to be up this week, especially after all the rumours about me that Thando and her friends spread. However, I’m ready for anything. At least I got to do my hair,” she smiled sweetly during what could be her final Diary Session.
Jase, who seems to be the most nervous out of the lot, confirmed just how much the attitudes and relationship dynamics have changed in the House. “Relationships have dissolved in the space of a week. Things have changed so much and the introduction of Nominations has been a huge catalyst, without a doubt,” he said. He also revealed how it didn’t come as a complete shock to find out he had been Nominated. “I expect it next week too, if I survive Eviction tonight,” he said.
