AKA and Da L. E. S. on the Live Show

akaIt Saturday guys and you know what that means, The Live Show is saying hallo to you all and we all know it is never complete without South Africa's hottest talent gracing the Big Brother Mzansi stage. We've had DJ Dimplez, the legend, that is Black Coffee and tomorrow night, brace yourselves for none other than AKA.

How well is AKA, you ask? Well this guy had a rocking 2013, after opening for NEYO in January last year, his smash hit 'Jealousy' was nominated as Metro FM 2013 Award's Best Single of the Year and Best Video of the year, but this legend didn't stop there, oh no, did we hear someone say Kanye West?

We did, AKA opened for Kanye in 2013 and the following week he performed with D’Banj; hip hop don't stop, if you want to reach this level of legend, you'd better get your work on.

He performed alongside Kid Cudi in Johannesburg at the Blackberry 10 launch and won the Metro FM Best Pop Single at the same damn time. The rapping legend has graced the stages of San Francisco, LA, Vegas, Jamaica and New York and now, the Big Brother Mzansi Live Show.

Joining the supernova AKA on stage is rapper, entrepreneur, trend setter and reality TV star Da L.E.S who is just 26 years old and has already shared the stage with music heavyweights such as Kelly Rowland, Rick Ross, T-Pain and 2Face.

Da L.E.S. is the kind of guy to buck the status quo; born in Washington to South African parents, his first notable step into the limelight was when he established African Hip Hop super group JOZI in 2007. The group left a notable footprint on South Africa's musical landscape with their first album 'Muthaland Crunk' selling over 30 000 copies and earning them their first MAMA (MTV Africa Music Awards) in 2008 for Best Live Performer.

Da L.E.S. teamed up with childhood friend and fellow band member, Bongani to write the critically acclaimed album Fresh2Def, and Da L.E.S is still regarded as the king of ‘fresh’ not only in South Africa but across the continent. Straight from the man's mouth “my personal style from rapping, to dressing has to be fresh!” a statement that all of his 47 000 plus followers on Twitter can attest to (handle: @2freshLES).
