For those of you who’ve been living under a rock, the news on everyone’s lips is the ongoing romance betweenMandla and Lexi, who we’ve come to affectionately know as Mandlexi. The couple played out an off and on courtship through-out the week from the moment they entered the Big Brother Mzansi House. Mandla seemed to take immediately to Lexi with a confession of love followed by a marriage proposal while the braided lass played hard to get. She has since warmed up to him and they wooed each other silly.
Romance ran amok in both the House and the Chamber in addition to Mandlexi. Kat has been the center of a love triangle of her own creation. She fell pregnant, gave birth, flirted with Sol, dumped Poolie> and shacked up with Jase all in one week. It seemed that the setting of the Chamber drew the six Chambermates closer. The six guys and girls quickly coupled up withMbali taking to Jenayne, Nku to Kgosi and Paris to Iris. \
Mzamo was crowned first Head of House in
Big Brother Mzansi called for a lot of creativity this week in his Task briefs. Housemates had to create their own personal brands and the Chambermates had to transform themselves intoimaginary characters of a board game. They each impressed Biggie when it was time to present. The Housemates also had to play a game of truth or dare amongst each other to which they responded creatively.
Important this week was Biggie revealing the Chamber to the Housemates. The Housemates have to get familiar with the Chambermates because they were going to have to vote one into the House. The House and the Chamber were given a chance to chat via WeChat on a touchscreen monitor and video chat. These chats proved to unsettle, with it dawning on many the pressure that a new Housemate would bring.
We also got served with some emotion with some of the girls crying and others gossiping up and down the corridors. The main conflict arose between Vanessa and Mzamoagainst Loko and Kat. Mzamo called Loko a drama queen and Vanessa saying that she showed her true colours too soon in the game. Lola showed herself to be sensitive as she wept more than once in the week.
On the lighter side, a jovial bunch of Housemates were whisked away to party it up at the part zone. The first Saturday night jol saw the Housemates dress to impress and boogie the night away.
